Lake is one of four holy lakes in Tibet, located north of
Lhasa. The lake is an absolutely stunning crystal-like
mirage on the huge Qiangtang Plain, with the
NyanchengTanglha peaks towering in the distance. Namtso is
a fascinating wide open space which will leave you in awe.
Local nomadic herders still inhabit the plain and you will
get the chance to see their lifestyle.
Journey time from Lhasa is approximately 3 hours. You will

in the Nyang-chu valley, is one of the principal towns in
Tibet, and is a different and refreshing place to visit.
There are many things in around the town that can be
enjoyed. Gyantse is 250km south-west of Lhasa.
Journey to Gyantse is approximately 3 hours. After
breakfast, leave for Gyantse enjoying views of Tibetan
villages and the beautiful countryside. On the way you
will see Kamba-la Pass and the Yamdrok-tso which is one of
the main lakes in Tibet. You will have lunch in Nangartse.
Afterwards, drive to Karo-la Pass where you can enjoy the
Karo-la Glacier and the holy mountain called Nojin

is a small town located near to the Mt. Everest and Cho
Oyu base camps. In olden times Sherpas coming from Nepal
would exchange rice, iron and grains to Tibetan traders in
exchange for wool and livestock. The Tingri Plain is vast
and untouched and part of old Nepali legends saying that
one day in the future Kathmandu will shift to the Tingri

in Tingri and visit the area and the Sakya Monastery.
Day 9 – Today visit the highest monastery in the world;
Rongpuk. Also visit and explore the Everest Base Camp.

Journey back to Shigatse is approximately 9 hours. On

said to be the birthplace of the Tibetan civilization,

Spend time visiting this truly sacred city of the Tibetan

Yumbulakang Palace in the Yarlung valley.

Drive back to Lhasa to spend the whole day in the capital
as a nice way to end your tour. Journey back to Lhasa is
